Here We Are

I decided before we left for vacation that I wanted to put my high dollar camera to use and take some family pictures on the beach. We went late afternoon when the sun was at it brightest and hottest, boy do I have good timing. One thing is for certain as I look at these pictures.....your Dad and I sure do make beautiful babies. You two kids make the world a much better place just by being in it. This marks the end of our vacation. We had a great time and look forward to doing this again next year. I sure hope Addison likes the beach better in coming year! LH&K Always!

We Are The People Our Parents Warned Us About

Me, Papa, Daddy and Ethan went to The Track to ride go carts. We each had to get a turn riding with Ethan. He loves it so much and you really have to be sitting next to him when you are winding up the Wild Woody to get the full experience. Ethan, you are so much fun I could just eat you up. Addison stayed at the condo with her napping buddy Nana. You girls have been two peas in a pod all week taking naps together. I just you both so much. LH&K Always!

Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season

We went to the lazy river again today. It was very windy today. We went to the outside pool area so Ethan could get his daily dose of the water slide. After many slides we took the swimming inside so everyone could enjoy the water. Addison LOVES the water as much as the rest of us do. She definitely gets it honest. Nanny and Papa saved our sanity for the trip home. We only had one DVD player for the trip to the beach so Nana and Papa went and bought duel DVD players so you kids could watch the same or different movies. We now have 3 DVD players for the car. Is this a sign we need to have ONE more baby :) LK&K Always!

Strange Bird

Daddy went to the room and got us some crackers to feed the birds. He wasn't very experienced in feeding birds apparently. He broke the crackers and laid them on the sand right next to all our stuff. I had to teach your Daddy bird feeding etiquette. He wasn't aware that what goes in must come out and it came out alright. Right on our ice chest. Our neighbors were trying to shoo them away as fast as your dad was getting them to come up to us with food. It was hilarious! Ethan went down the big boy slide again today many, many times by himself. I think that is the favorite part of his vacation. We get so tickled watching you go. LH&K Always!

I literally took hundreds of pictures on the beach today. These are just a few of my favorites. I painted Addison's toe nails for the first time. They didn't look great but they were still adorable. We started the day with Daddy cooking breakfast then it was off to the beach. Addison was ready for a nap when we headed out so she didn't do so well. Nana managed to rock her to sleep on the beach which was interupted by Ethan yelling for sissy to wake up, and she did. Nana and I managed to get in a little bit of shopping before dinner. I can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings. LH&K Always!

Come Monday

This weeks blog titles will be Jimmy Buffet songs. "Come Monday" was a great fit for today. This was our first full day in Orange Beach. I woke up and found Ethan and Papa on the balcony watching the waves crash. I cooked breakfast, we got ready and hit the beach walking. Addison was ready We have a big tube slide at our condo. It was windy and kinda chilly but that didn't keep Wild Man from wanting to go on the slide. Daddy wouldn't go cause he said it was to cold. That meant Mommy had to go. We watched a guy take his little girl on it and they seemed to do just fine. It must be a weight thing because me and Ethan hit the water full force and there was no way we were going to keep our balance. We went shopping Monday afternoon, had lunch at the Hangout and hit the beach again. The four of us met up with John, Amanda and Bronson at Lulu's for dinner and drinks. I got the best salad EVER. We LOVE Orange Beach. LH&K Always!

THE BEACH

We always took long vacations when I was a kid growing up. My parents would load me and my 2 yucky brothers up and we would head out. I remember vacations to the beach, North Carolina, Amusement parks everywhere, Grand Canyon and my more places I could mention. After I got older and started wanting a family I longed for the days I would get to pack my family up and hit the highway. Well, my time is here I couldn't be happier. We went on a cruise when Ethan turned 1 and that went pretty good, although, your Daddy said he would never take you kids on another cruise until you were 20. We leave early in the morning for Orange Beach. I cannot wait. We have a new huge condo that has a lazy river and high winding super slide at our complex. Ethan is super excited that Nana and Papa are going with us. I think this is going to be a week in my life to remember. I am super stoked about 10 whole days with the loves of my life. Ok, I have to go now and finish packing!!!!!! LH&K Always!
