Happy Birthday Jesus!

This is the look she gets right before she sneezes.

Addi Grace is checking out Ethan's goodies

This is one of my favorite pictures from Christmas morning

We are in the isle at Target when she looks over and see's this red furry creature and says "Elmo" plain as day.

Ethan loves his boots

Drive it like you stole it baby girl!!!

She drives like her Uncle Adam, she managed to flip her car before the days end.

The kid in me loves Christmas but the Mother in me loves it even more!  I have so many wonderful memories of Christmas as a kid from the scavenger hunt our parents sent us on to find the toys Santa left us to the barbie doll house with elevator that was taller than I at the time.  Daddy and I work very hard to ensure you kids can say the same when you get older.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!!!!  WE LOVE YOU!!!  LH&K Always

Christmas Comes Once A Year

Christmas for us means we get up, see what Santa brought, open gifts, get ready and head to Papa and Nana's for the Lyons Christmas.  After spending the morning and afternoon there, we head back home for the Gasaway Christmas. Your Nana has a knack for finding super cool hats to wear on Christmas.  I think I will try to find one for me next year so I can be cool too!  We must have all been very good this past year because Santa was better to us then we expected.  I really thought your Daddy would get coal in his stocking, but alas, he got really good stuff ;)
In all the excitement of opening gifts and wrapping paper everywhere Addi Grace managed to get so excited that she slipped on a piece of wrapping paper and fell on a plastic cup to get her first busted lip. I could not believe all the blood that kept coming out of her mouth.  I am thankful it was a minor flesh wound.  Here's to next year being accident free!!!!  LH&K Always!

Cookies For Santa

We made mint chocolate chip cookies from scratch for Santa since we know they are his favorite.  Ethan made a mess of the kitchen and my new mixer since I let him do most everything by himself.  I am certain Santa enjoyed the cookies and milk when he stopped at our house!

I have come to learn that getting two small children to look at the camera, at the same time, have some form of smile on their faces is near impossible. What would one do in this type of dilemma??  One would buy a remote control for one's camera and voila, mission accomplished!  So, if you see something weird in my hand in future posts, it's probably my new little black thingy toy :)  LH&K Always!

Seven Great Grandchildren

GG singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS" with all the kids

Ethan, cousin Nikki and cousin Tim (I think his nose was itching :o  )

The Grimes Family

Aunt Gena, Uncle Harry and Ethan

We are one rowdy bunch and I believe we have finally outgrown Nanny and Pops nice, big house.  Therefore, we gathered at a sporting facility in Maumelle this year.  I worked out pretty well.  The kids had plenty of room to run and play while the adults visited.

The title of this post is what it is because Nanny and Pops now have 7 great grandchildren, yes that is SEVEN.  We are so blessed to have the opportunity to get 4 generations in one room.  We can only hope to celebrate the holidays with our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Oh what a day that will be!!!!! LH&K Always!

Christmas Angels

Each year we can't help but realize how blessed we are to have more than enough.  More than enough food, clothes and TOYS.  Especially the TOYS!!! Who's responsible for more than enough?  That would be your Daddy and I, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Great Grandparents, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Cousins and some really great friends of ours.  This is the reason we adopt a boy and girl, each interested in the same things you kids are at the time   This is part of your Christmas gifts we give you each year.  The gift of giving is only something we can teach you by example.  I can only hope that when you get older you will realize this gift, the gift of giving, truly is the gift that will fill your hearts for a lifetime.  I hope Bella and Andrew enjoy these gifts as much as we all enjoyed shopping for them as a family.  There were so many more things we bought them that are not in this picture so always know it is ok to give more than enough!  LH&K Always!

Cousin Whitney Gets Married

Great Grandma Lyons still looks great!

Cousin Whitney caught the bouquet at our wedding and she was the next person in our family to get married, how ironic (6 years later)!

A Chubby Little Snowman

Ethan, your Christmas play this year at school was AWESOME.  You sang "A Chubby Little Snowman" and it goes like this "A chubby little snowman had a carrot nose.  Along came a bunny and what do you suppose.  That hungry little bunny was looking for his lunch, so he ate that snowmans carrot nose.  Nibble, Nibble Crunch".  You did awesome and we are so proud of you.  I think you were the loudest, most animated one of the bunch (yes I am partial).  You get that from your Momma. We got to see your room afterwards and Ms. Katie was nice enough to take our picture.  I stay amazed at how wonderful you are (and your sister)!!!!!! LH&K Always!

Our Little Climber....Continued

The two of them holding hands is one of those things that makes my mother heart burst with joy.

"I love eating booty cream" - Addison Grace

I'm convinced the girl can't help it.  She has to climb everything in sight.  We have to keep her bedroom door closed because we're afraid she will go back there without us, climb UP the slide, fall off and break a limb.  Yes, that is my OCD in over drive but this girl just can't help it either.  Must be where she gets it from!!  LH&K Always!

Mommy's Birthday Cake

So, I turned 34 today.  It is so hard for me to believe that 4 short years ago, I was blowing out the candles on my 30th birthday cake and my only wish was for a child.  Now, I have 2 precious children eating my 34th birthday cake.

Becoming a mother never seemed more distant than it did that day.  Your Dad and I had been through trials, tribulations and lots of heartbreak that last 1 1/2 years of my 20's trying to have a baby.  We found out 3 weeks after I blew those candles out that I was pregnant again.  We prayed for a big healthy baby and the Lord provided in abundance!!!!!  9 months later I held my sweet, sweet boy in my arms and our lives have never been the same.

Some people may not like getting older.  For me, however, the years only get better and better and better.   I have to lift many praises up to our Lord and Savior above, JESUS CHRIST!  He has filled our hearts and lives with pure LOVE and joy!! My heart is overflowing! LH&K Always!!!
