A Week In Review

Wow, what a weekend. It was my first week oncall since being on maternity leave and what an oncall it was. Things were finally pretty quiet on Sunday so cousin AJ got to come over for a playdate. Since we had been at home all weekend with me working, we took Sunday morning to get all our shopping done for the week (I know, I know, we SHOULD have been in church). AJ came over right after we returned home so Ethan did not get his afternoon nap. It was Uncle Adams birthday so he and Denise stopped by to see the kids. Ethan was sad when they left, I guess he didn't get to spend enough time with him this visit. We'll make it up next time. After all was quiet that evening, Ethan ate dinner while I worked even more and Bryan tried to clean up the chaos from the day. Our precious boy was so tired he fell right to sleep in his high chair so Bryan reclined him back and let him sleep a while. Monday morning propped Addison up on our bed to watch VeggieTales while we got ready for work, which she just LOVES, and the next time I walked in the check on her.....there was Ethan. He had gone to his room and got his stool to climb up on our bed to lay beside his little sister. We knew nothing of it until we caught them like this so I just had to get some pictures. He is so such a precious boy and the love he has in his heart is bigger than the sky. I JUST LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH! LK&K Always!

Pizza Picnic

Most weekends are spent having picnics in the living room floor. We always sit at the dining table so this adds a fun twist to family time and allows us to get Addi Grace involved. Pizza is Ethan's favorite food so Sunday we had a pizza picnic. I'm not sure who needs the towel more, Ethan or Daddy. They are both very messy eaters. Sunday was also the start of NASCAR season. Ethan loved watching the cars especially when they wrecked, he must get that from his mommy! We had a great, family fun-filled weekend. LH&K Always!

My Sweet Valentine's

Yesterday was a special day for me. It was exactly one year ago that Bryan and I decided we wanted to expand our family. The blessing for me is seeing my sweet boy have this precious little girl to kiss on the nose. Most of you already know it took us over a year to conceive Ethan, after the loss of our first pregnancy. I feel overwhelmed writing this post because not very long ago I wasn't sure this was ever possible....but look at us now. We have what people tell me often is the American Dream. Boy, they have no idea how far out of reach this all seemed to me just a few short years ago. Love, Hugs and Kisses Always!!!!!!!!

Valentine's Past.....

Ethan was only 5 months old for his 1st Valetine's Day. The sucker sharing came on his 2nd Valetines Day when he was very much in to sharing. For those of you wondering, the sucker Ethan is sharing with Sadie is the very same sucker he and his daddy shared too. All I can say is YUCKITY YUCK!!!!

A Post For Daddy

I love when we get home and the first thing we do is put our PJ's on. Your Dad has been complaining that I don't have any pictures of him on here with his babies, so this ones for him! The first thing he did after changing cloths was put both of you in his lap and "try" to watch Back to the Future. This movie reminded me how much times have changed since I was a little girl. I wonder what the world is going to be like when you kids are our age......

God Is Great, All The Time!

Yesterday was a big day at our house and it all started at 1pm.

First great moment) We took Addy Grace to get her second ultrasound at Children’s Hospital. For those of you who don’t know, Addison was breech, like her brother, which caused her to be born with hip dysplasia. We went on January 7th for our first ultrasound which confirmed this. We have been double diapering since that day to keep her hips more secure. The Orthopedic Specialist came in yesterday and told us she was PERFECT! The scan looked great and we could come back in 6 months if we wanted and have an X-ray done to confirm that her hips still look great. So, we will go back in 6 months for a final scan to make sure her lil hips stay where they are suppose to!

Second great moment) Bryan and Ethan decided to go to the store and leave the girls at home since it was raining and our hair would just be a mess if we got out in it. When the boys got home, Ethan came walking in with a heart shaped box of chocolate candy with a Choo Choo on it. Bryan said he picked it out himself for me. How stinking sweet is that? This was such a special moment for me because it was the first Valentine Ethan picked out for me by himself.

To Our Children: Your Dad and I were reminded again while walking from unit to unit at ACH how blessed we to have you both. Everyday we get to experience how precious our son’s bare feet sound when comes running across the hardwood floors and how wonderful it is to watch our daughter try to stick her whole fist in her mouth because she is able to do so. I know I don’t deserve the life I have but God blessed me with it anyway. You are the best part of our lives. GOD is great and we thank him every day for the two of you! LH&K Always!!!!!
PS. We want to thank everyone for lifting our little girl up in prayer, IT WORKED!!!! We love you all!

Cousin AJ's Birthday Party

We went to cousin Aydan's 4th birthday party on Tuesday. Ethan is at the age where birthdays are really fun. I called around 6:45am Tuesday morning to let Ethan tell AJ happy birthday. They both thought that was cool! Ethan loved playing the drums, dancing around and showing off for the crowd. I love it when he shakes his butt from side to side! Let me tell you all one thing, Addy Grace loves her great grandma and grandpa. She talked up a storm when they held her. I think it's a 2 way street because they love spending time with her and her big brother too! Her PeePaw managed to steal a few kisses for himself before heading off on a cruise to Hawaii the next day. It was so great to see everyone again. We should do it more often.....just because we can :) LH&K Always!

Ethan Acts More Like His Uncle Jason Every Day

I'm sorry Son, but I just had to share this story. So we pull in the driveway yesterday and as I am getting Ethan out of his carseat he says "Mommy, I need to peepee". My thoughts are get him out of the seat, walk in the house, put him on his stool by the toilet and let him pee. WRONG! I try to escort him into the house only to have him stopping and saying he wants to peepee on Daddy's tire. Now, this isn't that unusual around our house. Why you ask? Because his Daddy has had him peeing on leaves, the grass, you name it and i'm sure my son has pee'd on it. I can only imagine what is going through our neighbors minds, and anyone else who is driving by at during these incidences, when our son drops his drawers and bares all for the world to see. I do love having a boy!!!! LH&K Always!

Sporadic Postings Merged Into One!

We went to Hot Springs again this weekend. Only a few more weekends before the water comes back up and they cannot work on it anymore. We were all getting ready this morning and Ethan mentioned that he was going to Nanny and Papa's house. I had to break his heart and tell him that he was going to school today. I thought he would get tired of going to his "grandparents" house as for most kids that might be BORING....but not my parents. They act more 16 than they did when we were kids. I hope we're that cool when we are grandparents! Brent even argued his way into spending the night with them Saturday night. Val was a strict "Your going home with us" only to lose the battle to her teenager!!! As you can see, Ethan just loves his cousin Brent. I never imagined he would be so great with Ethan being the huge age difference. I can't wait until Brent starts bringing girls around in a couple of years and Ethan is old enough to embarass him. If it doesn't happen naturally, I might have to encourage certain behaviors from my son since Brent is an only child. That's gonna be GREAT (did I just that)!!!! Sunday was spent at a friends house for Super Bowl. I enjoyed the company so much I forgot to take any pictures. Can you believe it? Oh well, next time I guess! There were so many kids running around and Ethan loved it. Addy slept all the way up to dinnertime, go figure! Ethan was asleep before we got out of their driveway. He was pooped! Well, that about sums up our busy weekend. I hope everyone had a good time, I know we did!! LH&K Always!
