Cupcakes...Cupcakes...Cupcakes

Ethan and Daddy watching cupcakes cook. It has to be better than watching paint dry, seriously!
Today we made chocolate cupcakes since they are Ethan's favorite. I get so tickled at him with a mixer. He could be miles away and the second I turn the mixer on he comes running as fast as he can. This time he lined the cupcake pan all by himself and was able to do most of the mixing with a "little" help. I don't think I could handle the mess of letting him do it alone. I love when you want to help me do things. It might take twice the time to get it done but is sure is lots more fun. I love you madly....LH&K Always!

Rock Stars

Thank you Laurie/Bella for Ethan's very first pair of Hanna Andersson PJ's...the organic cotton is SUPER SOFT! I admit, I was very skeptical.....boy was I wrong.

Your new beach wear. I saw this and just knew you would be so stinking cute at the beach in this outfit..... I JUST LUV YOU SOOOOO MUCH!
Addison drinking her very FIRST JUICE EVER...it was Gerber Apple...and she slurped it up!
Thank you Leslie for the adorable sunglasses. She looks HOT!!!!

I JUST LOVE YOU TOO! YOU AND YOUR BROTHER ARE THE BEST EVER! YOUR DADDY ISN'T HALF BAD EITHER :)
Addison had her 4 month checkup Monday. Your Daddy took you to your checkup all by himself. This is the first visit I have missed since either of you were born. He did such a good job and even sent me a pic of you when you were done with your shots. Daddy said you took them like a trooper....you must get that from your mommy :) You are 15 lbs 3.3 oz, 26.5 inches long and your head circumference is 16 7/8. You are a perfect little girl and it appears that you are going to be big, like your big brother. The two of you are getting lots of road time these past few days in your new rockin jogging stroller. We are going to the beach in 6 weeks and your Dad is kicking my butt in cardio for the first time EVER. I can outrun him any hour of any day of any week.......he says "whatever"...but we all know its true :) We love you both very much. LH&K Always!

Cousin Fayth's 12th Birthday Party

We went to cousin Fayth's 12 birthday party Saturday evening. Ethan always gets so excited when we tell him we are going to cousin AJ's house. It was cloudy and cold today, but Ethan still had to be a cool kid and wear his sunglasses. I love it now that the boys are old enough that they don't fight over toys. Don't get me wrong, they still have have their moments, but they are few and far between. Thanks for the island kielbasa Alisa, I have been craving that for weeks now.

Prune Faces and Choo-Choo Trains

This is Addison eating prunes for the first time. She wiped her own face with her bib while I was getting my camera so I missed the adorable shot...BUMMER!

Believe it or not, this is Ethans prune face at 4 months (the same age as Addison above). Do you think they look anything alike?

These are pics from our first WHOLE week of health in what seems like forever! I am so thankful that Ethan never got "IT". Addison was kinda stopped up so when we got home I immediately fed her some prunes to try and loosen her up a bit. Ethan had to get all of his choo-choo trains and play right beside me. You kids are taking a nap right now so I am taking advantage of this free time to update your blog. I just have to get better at updating this more oftenfor you both. I think you will appreciate my efforts when you get older! I know your Dad and I will when we are old and gray!!! LH&K Always!

Sick Baby Girl...Sick Momma...Sick GG

We have been missing in action for a while now. What a month it has been for Addison. She started out three weeks ago as you all know with RSV. Once we got her over that it was less than a week when daycare called and she a stomache bug. Well, we still don't know what "IT" is after three visits to the doctors office, lab tests ran on her POO and me acting a FOOL at the Ped's office...It gets pretty aggrevating when you are told that "it's going to have to run it's course" when they can't tell you what "IT" is and "IT" seems to never go away. The Rotavirus test was negative (twice), CDIF was negative....we still have cultures being ran on her POO as I type. I hope they can have some news for us next week because this "IT" stuck around for 8 full days before it started showing signs of going away. I got it, Addison's GG got it and I think everyone is better as of today (knock on wood). I'm not sure why just the girls got it but I am so very thankful Ethan and Daddy never did. I think I would have packed my bags and moved to the hills had they gotten sick too! We are very thankful for all the prayers everyone. A special thanks to GG for taking one for the team and Peepaw for keeping Ethan out of the line of fire. We love you all! LK&K Always!
PS. Peepaw, you cost me 6.99 in a Thomas shirt and 7.00 for a new ROSIE! :)

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Brent had a baseball tournament at Lake Hamilton that started Saturday. Uncle Jason had called earlier in the week to see if Ethan could come spend the day with them at the ball park and how could I say no. Ethan was so excited that all he could talk about was "I'm gonna play baseball with cousin Brent, YEA". I even got excited about being able to see him play ball. When we got to the park on saturday, Ethan didn't really understand why he couldn't go on the field and "play ball" with cousin Brent. That took a lot of explanation I'm not real sure he ever understood. After the game was over, Ethan got to help Brent keep his arm "warm" for the next game. It was a wonderful day and I hated to leave but I wanted to give Addison another treatment and I can't do that just anywhere. Ethan got to stay and play. Valarie called a little later and said that Ethan wanted to call and talk to his Mommy. I can't begin to tell you how awesome it feels to hear that your child misses you and wants to hear your voice. He was getting tired since it was way past his naptime so Addison and I went to pick him up at the park and went back to my parents so he could take a nap. I hope Ethan keeps interest in baseball...he is going to be so stinking cute running around and I'm going to need lots of external storage for all the pics and video I will be taking. LH&K Always.

Goodnight Sweethearts....Goodnight!

What sweet babies we have. The positions that you two fall to sleep in crack us up. It happens at least once a week where one of us comes out of Ethan's room laughing and running for the camera. He is such a sweet and funny kid. Addison still sleeps in our room and will until I can "let her go". Ethan went from the bassinett to a pack-n-play next to my bed (which is where Addison is now). I then moved him to Bryan's side of the room and BAM, Bryan kicked him out of our room the very night he turned 6 months old. I thought I was going to have a meltdown letting him go. It ended up being the best for everyone because Ethan slept like a champ in his crib. Having babies is a lot sweet and a little bitter. We are blessed beyond words that we get to watch you grow up but it's kinda sad how quickly it is all happening. WE LOVE YOU MORE AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE EVERY SINGLE DAY...LH&K Always!

Addison's Day Home With Daddy

Bryan was able to stay home with Addison on Wednesday so I made an appearance in the office for meetings. Things went well as you can see above. They managed to watch a couple of movies together, take a few catnaps and spend some quality Daddy/Daughter time. She sounded better by the time evening rolled around so I guess Daddy did a good job. Ethan wanted to go with Mommy so I took him to school and he got to play with all his friends. It amazes me how at 2 years old he already has a life that doesn't involve us. It's really sad to think that he already has a life that doesn't revolve around us and, unfortunately, will always be this way. LH&K Always!

RSV, Doctor Visit #2

Addison took a turn for the worst Monday night and her fever spiked to 101 degrees around 10:30pm. Needless to say, I took her back to the Ped's on Tuesday morning and she now had ear infections and they put her on a nebulizer and antibiotic. I was unaware of what a nebulizer was, but it is the Panda bear machine above that comes with a face mask that we use to administer Albuterol to her every 4 hours. We got to see our PCP Dr. Standford and we were very happy to see him. We hope she is on the uphill swing of things. Keep her in your prayers!!!!!! LH&K Always!

RSV, Doctor Visit #1

Oh what a week. It started out late Wednesday. Addison had been running a low grade fever for a couple of days prior to Sat (99.0 to be exact) and she had a bit of a cough. I didn't think much of it since she is in daycare now. Her cough got worse throughout the night Friday and by Saturday morning I just had to take her in to see if they could find anything wrong with her. We didn't see our normal two Ped's that we just love, we had to see someone else. Well, that will be the last time we let her diagnose our kids with anything. I explained everything to the Dr., all the symptoms, cough, how things were progessively getting worse and she was sending us home with a "mild cold" and nothing else. She was leaving the room when Addison coughed, Thank You Jesus for this, because she turned around and said she was going to order an RSV test after all, POSITIVE. HELLO, what have I been telling you?!?! The pics above are from Saturday morning before we left for the doctor. Ethan stayed home with Daddy and played with his trains.
