We stayed with my parents in Hot Springs Saturday night and came home late Sunday evening. Ethan gets so excited when we head out to go see his Papa and Nana! It is so neat to see how your parents interact with your children. Mom and Dad are both so great about getting in the floor and playing with Ethan. Addy is a little small so she gets held most of the time. When you have a child and walk in the room of friends and family, you immediately get pushed to the back burner and your kids get all the spotlight. Well, this practice couldn't have been more obvious at dinner Sunday evening. My Dad had sat down by me to begin with. When we got the kids settled and he realized that Ethan was not sitting right next to him, he grabbed his tea and moved to the other end of the table so he could sit on the other side of Ethan. I had to comment out loud something sassy, as usual, but I thought it was very touching to see how much my children are loved and how much my parents really want to be with them all the time.
